Applications for attendance at the academy shall be screened and approved as follows:

1. Applicants of the Arkansas State Police shall be approved by the Arkansas State Police Commission;

2. Applications from sheriffs or deputy sheriffs and constables shall be approved by the Executive Committee of the Arkansas Sheriff's Association;

3. Applications from any officers of a municipal police department shall be approved by the Executive Committee of the Arkansas Peace Officer's Association.
